Wardrobe colour connection

I’ve been meaning to share my thoughts of colour choices for a while as this is a big part of my design thread. I know I have a few ‘eyebrows raised’ when I ask " Can I please look in your wardrobe?" at a design meeting!
We may have a different dress code for work but casual dress, shoes and accessories have always given me a picture of how my clients like to be perceived. My design experience has been a very varied one, based around my love of fashion and interior design, now an amalgamation of all of them, but have always found that my clients subconsciously have likings to many colours which they enjoy wearing. These colour choices, have helped me produce sucessful schemes within my own and clients’ interiors as fashion and interior design exist side by side finding fabrics for interiors following catwalk choices. On a visit to Chelsea Harbour somebody noticed that my top I was wearing went perfectly with a fabric sample I was choosing and was interested to hear of my thoughts on wardrobe colour connection As designers we are responsible for finding our clients schemes that will make them feel comfortable, sometimes a relax and sometimes stimulate. By understanding the personality of the client instantly by looking in their wardrobe we can make those choices easier. Give it a go!
