Mother's Day Barbola Workshop
Treat your Mum or be treated! This year we have a special One Day Workshop creating your own Barbola Flower Art.
Barbola which was a popular technique found in the 1930's. You may have seen these beautiful vintage pieces? often found on mirrors, trinket boxes, fire screens and cigarette holders. Barbola is the technique rather than the piece it was found on and was originally made from gesso in the shape of flowers, fruit and leaves.
Sarah will be introducing you to this gorgeous ReVamp Boutiques take on this craft. You will be making your own flowers and leaves with moulds and creating your own designs in a relaxed atmosphere with like minded people. There will be a choice of different items to upcycle using this skill or if you prefer you can bring your own memory keepsake to cover in Barbola. This could be a book cover, small box or even a sentimental shoe, the choice is endless! Once created you can paint & decorate them with Sophie James Decor Paint or inks to bring them alive!
